Graduated in law and in civil marine studies (naval machinery), professional skipper, competitor in yacht races, umpire of regattas, diver. After a long activity in different areas of law practice, he created the blog nauticalgal.com with a view to disseminate and discuss significant issues in Maritime Law coupled with his expertise and experience.
He is also serves as Director at the Department of Nautical Recreational Activities at the prestigious law firm Blas de Lezo.
Yamandú is an expert in maritime law and related tax issues. He acquired Deep experience in litigation before civil, commercial, administrative and labour Courts. His background allows him to approach cases also from a technical perspective, streamlining thus his handling of cases.

He has specialized in Marine Insurance Claims at the Maritime Training Academy, within the University of Portsmouth (UK), with the sponsorship of the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA), Camper & Nicholson, MYBA, and Surge, among others.
After years of legal practice in Civil and Corporate sectors, his specialization in international yachting and maritime issues, carried him to join Nautica Legal and Mr Y.R Caorsi, with who he has carried out several maritime juridical litigations related to Civil Liability, nautical conflict resolution and administrative sanctioning processes.
At present, he is partner in NauticaLegal.com; leading the brands expansion in the Balearic Mediterranean, such as a founding-partner of Almar Lawyers, the first nautical lawyers office in Ibiza.
